About Exentric Artists
Exentric Artists is a passionate company with vast experience in making fantastic artworks for companies in various creative fields including; mosaic, painting, illustration and leather work.
Spearheaded by Yvette de Beer, they have done various children’s book illustrations and is busy with a series to be published in SA and the US.
Leather bags, book covers and corporate gifts are designed and hand made.
Mosaics for companies and residential spaces are bespoke made.
Her weekly workshops are attended by everyone who wants to expand their creative abilities and escape from the daily grind.
Yvette de Beer is the founder of Exentric Artists Creative Studio in Witbank South Africa.
She graduated from the University of Pretoria in 1994 with a BA (FINE ARTS) ED IV degree.
She has done various illustration projects for educational publishers and private and corporate clients in the medical and mining industries in South Africa. She has illustrated various children’s books, the latest being a range of books for a religious organisation in the United States.
She is a member of SCBWI (The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) and is an aspiring author and illustrator of her own children’s books, the first of which is in the process of being published.
Yvette does paintings and mosaics on consignment and has done several large pieces for the hotel and hospitality industry as well as private clients.
She is also the creator of the Exentric Bags Leather Handbag Range. The Limited-Edition bag range is designed and handmade in her studio. The range has a vintage focus and has been exhibited in a News 24 show, and in magazines.
Yvette has done several workshops in her private capacity and for the SCBWI in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Witbank. She hosts creative workshops in art, mosaic, illustration, leather work and creative thinking and teaches art classes on Thursdays.
